Disappointing Film: Lost review in 1Min
Lost is a 2023 film directed by Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary, starring Yami Gautam, Pankaj Kapur, Neel Bhoopalam, Rahul Khanna, Pia Bajpiee and Tushar Pandey. While the movie promises to be a compelling story of a missing man in Kolkata, it falls short of delivering a satisfactory experience. The film's narrative focuses more on Vidhi (Yami Gautam), an intrepid reporter, and her story than on Ishan (Tushar Pandey),
the missing theatre activist. This shift detracts from the themes the movie is trying to underline. Although the film aims to draw attention to the alarming number of missing persons in India, the characters are not adequately fleshed out, and the only character who stands out is Pankaj Kapur's portrayal of Vidhi's wise grandpa. Overall, the movie is nicely atmospheric but ultimately dissatisfying.
